Matt Coffin, President and Founder of LowerMyBills.com, Selected Entrepreneur of the
Year for Southern California

Local businessman tapped by Software Council of Southern California in recognition of entrepreneurial spirit and success

Santa Monica, Calif., March. 10, 2006 – LowerMyBills.com®, an Experian company, today announced that Matt Coffin, its president and founder, has been recognized as Entrepreneur of the Year for 2006 by the Software Council of Southern California. Winners of the Entrepreneur of the Year awards were selected based on sales and revenue growth, team-building skills, product innovation and fiscal resourcefulness.

Recipients of the 12th annual Software Industry Awards were announced during a gala dinner event held at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel in Los Angeles on March 8, 2006. The Software Industry Awards recognize leaders and companies that have made extraordinary contributions to the growth of Southern California as a center for technological innovation. The awards also measure the continuing growth and influence of the software industry in Southern California, representing more than 8,000 companies and tens of thousands of talented employees.

"My team and I have worked night and day since 1999 to build the business, so to be recognized by the Software Council of Southern California is a great honor for everyone at LowerMyBills.com," Coffin said. "Having survived the dot-com shake-up and scaled the business, this recognition is very satisfying. This award is a capstone on a terrific year in which we've continued to build the business and sold the company to Experian for approximately $400 million."

According to Jon Kraft, Software Council chairman of the board, "This year's awards once again featured an amazing array of technology companies with compelling growth and leadership stories. We are pleased to recognize Matt Coffin, Entrepreneur of the Year recipient, among the 'best of the best' in technology from Southern California in 2006."

Coffin founded the company in 1999, raising a total of $13 million in venture capital funding. Three of the investors are Southern California based companies, including eCompanies Venture Group, Evercore Ventures and Baroda Ventures.
